Custom Work

I think one of the really great things about our business is we get to meet some very cool new people.  One in particular definitely holds a very soft spot in our hearts.  She gave us the opportunity to do our first custom piece.  I think we will always be in her debt for this.  We met Tiffany through another friend and she has been just a wonderful addition to our circle of friends.  Let’s take a look at our first custom job…

Tiffany had a dining room table and chairs that belonged to her husband’s grandmother.  She didn’t want to get rid of it, but it just didn’t match her style.  Enter us…

This is the dining table before:

 

It really has some beautiful lines and the shape is just gorgeous!

Here are the chairs:

Again, pretty lines but the fabric was not right and the color of the chair was just not going with her new house and decor.  She pretty much gave us free reign to do our magic.  The first thing we did was sand it all down.

Then we got to work!  We stained the top of the table a rich chestnut color.  We painted the legs of the tables and the entire chairs using a chalk paint.  Then we distressed them, and finally waxed them.  Next, we recovered the chair cushions in a fun fabric.  Tada!!!!!

 

Here it is in her new house.  She and her husband really seemed to love it.
