Welcome

Welcome to our blog.  We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives and what better way to explore it than to share it with others.  So, let’s get right to the introductions.  We are a mother-daughter team.  My name is Terri…aka Mom.  My daughter is Brandi.  Together we are starting a new business called Histique…where history and unique meet!  Our goal is to provide quality unique furnishings and design for the home. 

 

We decided to start this business after doing some heavy soul searching to determine what it is that we really want.  We decided to just go for it.  We both love design and decor so why not try to make a business out of it. 

 

Let me introduce you to our team:

 

Brandi is a young wife and mother of a beautiful baby girl.  Our precious baby is actually not so much of a baby anymore.  She is 2 going on 13.  Brandi got her degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Fashion Merchandising from Texas Tech University in 2008.  She has been working at a pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician for the last year.  Brandi’s style is sleek and modern.  She loves clean lines and fresh pops of color.

 

Terri is a wife and mother of 2.  Both of my daughters are grown and married themselves.  I have the one grandbaby from Brandi.  I have a degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University in 1998.  I have been working at the County hospital for the last 24 years.  I still work full-time.  My style is more eclectic and shabby chic.  I love antiques, old furnishings, rustic, and industrial decor. 

 

Between the 2 of us we represent both sides of the spectrum, from chic and modern to rustic antiques.  We have a little of everything. 

 

Please join us on this journey as we bring wonderful unique items back from the dusty garages and sheds of yesteryear into the wonderful and beautiful homes of today. 

 

This blog will be used to highlight some of our projects.  We will show you the process we follow from beginning to end.  And, of course if you happen to fall in love with something…you’re in luck!  It’s all for sale!!!!!
